Construction has begun on a new medical campus, called Mercy Health Rockford Campus. The new 70,000-square-foot building is part of a 27.4 acre Planned Unit Development, located at 6050 Northland Drive and Seven Mile Road in Plainfield Township. This new location is part of Mercy Health’s efforts in increasing seamless access to individualized care in West Michigan and is slated for completion in July 2014.

Upon completion, the facility will house a number of physicians groups and services, including: Mercy Health Physician Partners’ primary and specialty care physicians; a ten-bed Urgent Care; laboratory services; radiology services that include X-ray, mammography and ultrasound; Physical Therapy by Advent Rehab; and Grand Rapids Ophthalmology.

In addition to clinical spaces, the new building will feature spacious hospitality areas. Natural light, energy efficient heating and cooling systems, and water-saving system will be incorporated as part of Mercy Health’s commitment to sustainability.
