From Kujala’s nomination form:
How Keri goes above and beyond: Every day, Keri goes above and beyond with her work and with her relationships with others. From making sure that guests at a Saint Mary’s Foundation event leave with a distinct lasting impression to taking the extra steps to assuring that a donor feels extraordinary about their giving experience, she puts forward the extra effort that makes the difference.
One example includes her work with a family who pulled together a fundraising walk with proceeds going to the Mercy Health Lacks Cancer Center. While it was not an expectation of the family, Keri was at the finish-line to greet the family and create a festive environment to celebrate the journey. She took photos of the entire party and surprised the family with a photo book that was presented to them when they came to present the check to the cancer center. When one of the family members was hospitalized at Mercy Health, they notified her and she visited the family. To their surprise, Keri brought a copy of the photo book so that the family could have a joyous distraction during the difficult time. This is just one of many examples of how She goes above and beyond every day at the Saint Mary’s Foundation.
