Friend of Nursing Award – Niko Brown, Phlebotomist

Niko Brown, winner of Friend of Nursing Award, signs the banner.

Congratulations to Niko Brown, phlebotomist, who has been honored by receiving the Friend of Nursing Award, created to recognize excellence in the workplace. Brown’s outstanding skill and compassionate care make him an admirable role model.

Brown was nominated because of his positive attitude and constant willingness to aid nurses. Though he only interacts with patients during a brief visit, many of them remember him by name because of his friendly and professional attitude.

While Brown was being recognized during the ceremony, he expressed gratitude toward his team and the nursing staff. He thanked them all for outstanding teamwork and for providing great care.

“We have such a great team,” Brown said upon receiving the award. “Our whole goal is to try to make the patient’s care better.”
