Maggies reserveLooking at a unique way to give back to the health care team who took care of their family, Sietsema’s Orchard & Cider Mill in Ada hosted its Maggie’s Reserve Release Party on Saturday, September 20, from noon-4 p.m.

Named Maggie’s Reserve, this hard cider commemorates the daughter of the Sietsema’s, Maggie, who passed away after birth. The launch day was the day before her birthday, September 21. The family is donating a portion of the proceeds from this launch to Mercy Health Saint Mary’s Bereavement Team, who ensures that the Birth Center staff provides appropriate support for families dealing with a loss and for mementos for patients and assistance during the grieving process.

“We are very grateful to the Sietsema family,” said Linda Foster, nurse manager of the Birth Center at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s. “We want to provide an amazing birth story to all our patients, including those who have experienced loss.”

Thanks to all the Birth Center staff who showed their support to Sietsema’s Orchards!
